Who we are
LotLifter is operated by Nathaniel Randle, an individual, under the name “LotLifter” (“LotLifter”, “we”, “us”). LotLifter is not a separately incorporated company. Contact: help@lotlifter.com.
This policy covers lotlifter.com and the LotLifter app at app.lotlifter.com, including LotLifter Go (phone), LotLifter Full (desktop) and LotLifter Scan (scanner). LotLifter is intended for people 18 years of age or older.
Information we collect
Account information
Your email address, shop name and password. Passwords are stored only as a one-way hash (bcrypt), never in plain text. If you sign in with Google, we receive your Google account email address and a Google account identifier from Google's sign-in service.
Your eBay connection and eBay data
When you connect eBay, eBay issues LotLifter an access token for your eBay account. With your permission, given on eBay's consent screen, LotLifter uses it to read and manage your listings and inventory, read your account's business policies, read orders and order fulfillment, read payouts and eBay fees, use eBay marketing features, and receive eBay notifications about listings, cancellations and returns. LotLifter changes listings on eBay only when you ask it to, for example when you publish or update a listing.
Your inventory and listing content
Item photos you take or upload; listing details such as titles, descriptions, item specifics, prices and SKUs; storage locations and labels; cost-of-goods figures you enter; and the sales, fee and payout information needed for your reports.
Order and shipping information
For your eBay sales, LotLifter receives order details from eBay, including the buyer's name and shipping address, so you can pick, pack and ship the order and buy shipping labels.
Your shipping account key
If you connect a ShipEngine account, LotLifter stores its API key encrypted and uses it only to check addresses, compare rates and buy labels for you. The key is never shown back in full.
Billing
Paid plans are billed by Stripe. You enter card details on Stripe's pages; LotLifter does not receive or store your full card number. We keep your plan, subscription status and Stripe customer and subscription references.
Signup source
When you create an account after visiting lotlifter.com, we record which LotLifter page or button you came from and, if the link you followed contained them, standard campaign tags (utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign, utm_term, utm_content), together with whether you signed up on the phone or desktop app and by email or Google. We do not record your IP address or any third-party identifier for this purpose.
Notifications
If you turn on browser notifications, we store the notification address your browser gives us so we can send you alerts, such as a new sale.
Technical information
Our servers record standard request logs, including IP address, browser type, the page or address requested and the time. Your active sign-in sessions record the browser type and when the session was last used.
Cookies and browser storage
- Session cookie (
ll_session). Keeps you signed in. Required for the app to work. A session lasts at most 14 days. - Referral cookie (
ll_ref). Set only if you arrive through a LotLifter referral or affiliate link, so the referral can be credited. Lasts up to 90 days. - Browser storage. The app keeps small preferences in your browser's local and session storage, such as whether you prefer the phone or desktop interface, tips you've dismissed, and the signup source for your current browser tab.
lotlifter.com and the LotLifter app do not use third-party advertising or analytics trackers. Pages load fonts from Google Fonts, which means your browser requests font files from Google.
How we use information
- To provide LotLifter features you use: AI listing drafts, pricing from comparable listings, background removal, publishing to eBay, storage locations and labels, sales, shipping labels and reports.
- To bill paid plans, secure accounts and prevent abuse.
- To respond when you contact us.
- To understand which pages bring new accounts (signup source, above).
- To understand and improve LotLifter using aggregated or de-identified statistics.
We do not use your photos, listing content or other customer content to train AI models, and we do not sell your personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. When a feature you use needs your content to be processed (for example, drafting a listing from your photos), it is processed to provide that feature to you.
Service providers we share information with
We share information with the following providers only as needed for them to perform their part of the service:
| Provider | Purpose | Information involved |
|---|---|---|
| eBay | Your connected eBay store | Listing data you publish or update; reads of your eBay account as described above |
| OpenAI | Drafting listings from photos (AI) | Item photos and item details for the item being drafted |
| DataForSEO (Google image and shopping search) | Finding comparable listings and retail prices for an item | An item photo address and/or search terms describing the item |
| Stripe | Subscription billing | Your email address, plan and the billing details you enter with Stripe |
| ShipEngine (your own account) | Address checks, rates and shipping labels | Ship-from and ship-to addresses and package details |
| Sign in with Google (optional); web fonts | Google sign-in token; font requests from your browser | |
| Resend | Sending account emails (for example password resets) | Your email address and the message |
| Namecheap Private Email | The help@lotlifter.com mailbox | Messages you send us |
| DigitalOcean | Hosting (United States) | Information stored by LotLifter |
| Your browser's push service | Delivering notifications you turned on | The notification and its delivery address |
Background removal runs on LotLifter's own servers. We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect the rights, safety or security of users, LotLifter or others, or as part of a transfer of the LotLifter service.
How long we keep information
- Account and inventory data is kept while your account is open, and handled as described under “Deleting your account” when it closes.
- Server request logs are normally kept for about 90 days. They may be kept longer when reasonably necessary for an active security or fraud investigation, a legal obligation or a dispute.
- Billing, payment and transaction records are kept as long as needed for tax, accounting and legal obligations.
Deleting your account and your choices
You can disconnect eBay in LotLifter at any time. To ask for a copy of your personal data, or to delete your account, email help@lotlifter.com from the address on the account. After verifying the request, we delete or de-identify your personal data within 30 days, except information we must or reasonably need to keep for legal obligations, tax and accounting, payment and transaction records, fraud prevention, security investigations, dispute resolution, enforcing our agreements, or other recordkeeping permitted by law. Where historical inventory or system records need to remain for the integrity of the service, we de-identify them when reasonably possible instead of keeping personal identifiers.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local law; contact us and we will respond as that law requires.
Security
Passwords are hashed, sign-in sessions are stored and checked on our servers and can be revoked, shipping keys are stored encrypted, and connections use HTTPS. Access to customer data is limited to operating the service. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
Children
LotLifter is not intended for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to this policy
For material changes, we will email account holders and, where practical, show a notice in the app, normally at least 30 days before the change takes effect. Minor corrections, clarifications and changes that do not materially reduce your rights may take effect when posted. The effective date at the top always shows the current version.
