Inventory management

Know which box every item is in.

LotLifter's reseller inventory management is about the physical side: every item has an ID, every box, bin, shelf and rack has a label, and your phone is the scanner that connects them — so when something sells, you walk straight to it. It's free.

A location system without a relabeling project

Most resellers already have a system — numbered bins, lettered shelves, boxes in a garage. LotLifter works with it instead of replacing it.

Items keep their SKUs

Items you import from eBay keep the SKU you already use as their LotLifter ID. New items get an ID when they're created, and you can print a QR item label for any of them.

Locations are yours

Name the places you already use: a box, a bin, a shelf, a rack. Print a QR storage label for each and tell LotLifter what's inside — no need to move a thing.

Needs Put Away

Every item without a location is listed in Needs Put Away until it has one, so nothing quietly disappears into a corner.

Your phone is the warehouse scanner

LotLifter Scan runs on any phone (a hardware scanner works too). It has five jobs:

  • Put Away — scan a location, scan items into it.
  • Find — scan an item and see where it belongs.
  • Move — re-home items when you reorganize.
  • Pick — when an item sells, LotLifter tells you which location it's in.
  • Pack — confirm the item in your hand is the one that sold.

A shared scanner can sign in named people, with optional PINs.

Labels that fit what you already print on

Item labels and storage labels print as exact-size PDFs for common label sizes — 4×1, 3×1, 2×1, 2.5×1.5 and 4×6 inches — so they come out right on a thermal label printer.

More than one location? More than one warehouse.

Add each warehouse or storage site with its own address. Each one is also a ship-from origin, so labels go out from the right place.

Connected to sales and shipping

Sales come in from eBay while you work. Pick sends you to the item, Pack confirms it, and you buy labels for several orders at once on your own ShipStation / ShipEngine account, with tracking sent back to eBay. Cost of goods and reports show what the inventory actually earned and what has been sitting.

Bring your current eBay inventory in

If you already sell on eBay, import your active listings free and organize them before you list anything new. With Keep my eBay inventory in LotLifter turned on, new eBay listings keep arriving in Needs Put Away. How the import works.

Physical inventory, not a stock count

A lot of "inventory software" is built for brands selling the same product many times, and is mostly about keeping quantities in step. A reseller's problem is different: hundreds of one-of-a-kind items, each in a particular box. LotLifter tracks the item and its location, from the day it's photographed to the day it ships.

  • eBay onlyInventory is synced with eBay. Other marketplaces are not connected.
  • No user roles yetScanner workers can be named; there are no team accounts with permissions.

Inventory questions

Do I have to re-SKU or move my inventory?

No. Imported items keep your SKUs, and Set Up Your Storage starts from the locations you already have.

Do I need special scanner hardware?

No. LotLifter Scan works on a phone. A hardware scanner can be used as well.

Is the inventory side free?

Yes. Storage, labels, Needs Put Away, warehouses and the scanner app need no plan. Plans are only for AI listing. See pricing.

Is there a limit on how many items I can track?

No. LotLifter doesn't cap how many items you keep or have listed.
